How to Use Laundry Soap Flakes (Standard Wash)
Add 1–2 tablespoons of flakes directly to the washer drum.
• 1 tablespoon for small or lightly soiled loads
• 2 tablespoons for large or heavily soiled loads
For best results, use warm or hot water to fully dissolve flakes.
For cold water washing, dissolve flakes in a small amount of hot water first, then add to the wash.
Pre-Treating Stains For targeted cleaning:
- Wet stained area
- Rub a small amount of flakes (or dissolved solution) directly onto fabric
- Allow to sit briefly, rinse, rub lightly if needed
- Wash as normal
Optional Natural Laundry Boosters
For heavy soils, odors, or hard water conditions:
• Washing Soda: Add 1–2 tablespoons per load
• Borax: Add 1–2 tablespoons per load
Liquid Laundry Soap (Traditional Method)
Laundry Soap Flakes can also be dissolved into a liquid soap for convenient use.
Dissolve flakes in very hot water:
• 2–4 tablespoons flakes per 1 quart (1 liter) hot water
• 1/2 cup flakes per 1 gallon (3.8 liters) hot water
• 2 cups flakes per 5-gallon batch
Instructions
- Add flakes to a large pot of very hot (near boiling) water
- Stir until fully dissolved
- Allow to cool completely
- Pour into a clean storage container
Shake gently before each use if separation occurs.
Storage
Store flakes in a:
- dry airtight container
- sealed jar or tub
- refillable storage container
Keep dry to prevent clumping.
Liquid Usage Amount:
• 1/4 to 1/2 cup per standard laundry load
Adjust based on load size, soil level, and water hardness.
