Most Cold Process soap is made by blending of either vegetable oils or animal fats, lye, and water, then allowing the mixture to cure for four weeks. This method preserves the natural qualities of the ingredients, ensuring the soap is rich, moisturizing, and gentle on the skin. While I primarily use the cold process method, I also incorporate a low-heat to promote Gel Phase, which involves gently warming the soap in the oven. This helps accelerate the saponification process and creates a firmer, longer-lasting bar. By combining both cold and hot processes, I create a high-quality soap that balances the best of both worlds—natural goodness with a smooth, luxurious texture.
