(Apothecary-Soaps Soap Balls & DIY Bath Bombs)
Hello friend!
So, you’re looking to take your gift-giving skills to the next level? You’ve got the soaps and/or soap balls from Apothecary-Soaps.com, but now you want to add something you've made to your gift baskets—maybe something that will make your friends and family feel like they’ve been transported to a fancy spa (without the hefty price tag).
How about making bath bombs? You can probably get all the ingredients at your local grocery store and it's something a beginning crafter can do both on a budget and with really good results. It's actually pretty simple, and you can customize them to match your gift basket. Lavender for relaxation, citrus for a refreshing boost, or maybe peppermint for the holidays? These will pair perfectly with any of my soaps, so let’s get to making them.
What You’ll Need:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup Epsom salts
2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil (or any other carrier oil you prefer)
1 tablespoon water
15-20 drops of essential oil or oil blend or fragrance oil
A few drops of food coloring (optional)
Bath bomb molds (if you don't have them, you can use silicone molds, or even an old muffin tin works in a pinch!)
A pretty basket from the dollar store or a local thrift store

Instructions:
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and Epsom salts. Stir well to ensure they are evenly mixed.
Melt Coconut Oil: In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Once melted, add the essential oils and food coloring (if using), and mix together.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring constantly. Be careful not to add it too quickly, as this may cause the mixture to fizz prematurely. Continue stirring until the mixture has a damp, sand-like texture that holds together when pressed.
Mold the Bath Bombs: Pack the mixture into your bath bomb molds or a muffin tin, pressing it firmly to ensure the mixture stays together. If using a two-part mold, press the two halves together tightly.
Let the Bath Bombs Dry: Allow the bath bombs to dry in the molds for at least 4-6 hours or overnight. Once dry, carefully remove them from the molds and store them in a cool, dry place.

How to Package Them for a Gift Basket
Now that you’ve got your fizzy little creations, it's time to make them gift-ready. Here’s how to elevate the experience:
Wrap each bath bomb in a small piece of tissue paper or clear cellophane. You can tie it with a cute ribbon or twine. Maybe pretty muffin cups?
Add a little tag with instructions for the recipient: “Drop in a warm bath, and let the magic begin!”
Place your bath bombs in a cute box or basket alongside some of your favorite Apothecary-Soaps.com bars for a full, fun gift set anyone would enjoy!

Why You’ll Love Making These Bath Bombs:
It’s super easy! You don’t need to be a crafting pro to nail this recipe.
It’s customizable! Choose your favorite essential oils, colors, and even add dried flowers or glitter (because who doesn’t want a little sparkle in their life?).
